Aircraft museum ghosts a flight of fancy?

Paranormal investigators will check out ghostly goings-on at a Wearside museum this weekend – and want Echo readers to join them.
The North East Aircraft Museum in Washington is said to be one of the most haunted places in the region.
The eerie hangars are said to be home to dozens of spooks, including the ghosts of a downed pilot, an Eastern European spy, a pair of doomed lovers and even spirits dating back to Roman times.
The museum is so high in paranormal activity that Living TV's Most Haunted crew made a full-length programme about the site, which is also the subject of regular investigations by North East group Ghost Haunted.
Now a team from Liverpool are carrying out their own ghost watch to raise funds for the museum as part of the investigators' national tour of spooky sites.
Tricia Dansin, events manager at North West Spirit Seekers, said: "The evening is a must for budding paranormal investigators.
"We are pleased to be offering an opportunity to investigate this location – especially as it has appeared on Most Haunted."
The event starts with a ghost and history tour of the location, and includes vigils in the most haunted parts of the building where guests will get the chance to take part in paranormal experiments.
Equipment, including dictaphones to record EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) and ghostly sounds, and EMF meters to measure electromagnetic activity, will be provided.
Tricia said there would also be an opportunity for guests to try out different ways of communicating with the spirit world.
Tickets for the event are strictly limited and must be booked as soon as possible. The event starts at 9pm and runs on until 4am, and costs £35.
