BECKY Howes hopes a hobby will become her future career.
The Washington teenager posts make-up and fashion videos on YouTube.
Becky has never had any professional make-up training but manages to create her fabulous looks through experimenting with different colours and styles.
She is going to Gateshead College in September to study beauty therapy in the hope of one day becoming a professional make-up artist.
She said: “I think my dream job would be to work on a really highbrow fashion show. The make-up worn by the models is always really dramatic, flamboyant and colourful – it’s right up my street.
“I’d love to be able to have a job doing something that I enjoy so much. Going to college is going to put those qualifications behind me that I need but help me to develop the skills I’ve already got and help me to learn so much more.”
Becky is also using her internet status to branch out into the fashion world with video features such as Outfit of the Day.
Her name has become so well-known in the make-up industry that huge companies like Maybelline and Max Factor have started sending her their products in the hope she’ll review them on her websites.
She said: “It’s so weird to think that these people know who I am. It’s fantastic to think that they care about my opinion and want me to share it with others.”
She has also recently become a YouTube partner, meaning that she can take her channel to the next level, and even make money from it.
