ALTHOUGH there have been minor casualties in training, Manager Bob Stokoe says that he is unlikely to have any fitness worries when the time comes to name the Sunderland side to tilt for a place in the semi-final of the FA Cup against Luton Town at Roker Park on Saturday.
He said today; “Physiotherapist John Watters tells me he is quite confident that Ian Porterfield, Dick Malone and Vic Halom will be ready for the game.”
Final choice will not be named until the completion of a morning session at Roker Park tomorrow. With Ray Ellison quite recovered from the slight concussion with took him out of last weeks’ game at Kenilworth Road after 35 minutes he is added to the pool of 14 players from which final choice will be made.
The squad is: Montgomery, Malone, Ellison, Guthrie, Horswill, Watson, Pitt, Young, Kerr, Hughes, Halom, Porterfield, Tueart and Chambers.
