POORLY Wearside youngsters got a post-Christmas treat as a pantomime company put on a performance for them.
Children in the F63 paediatric ward at Sunderland Royal Hospital got a boost as The Starlight Children’s Foundation staged Aladdin.
The interactive performances by the group allowed the young patients to get involved in the show.
Created for the charity by theatre group The Panto Company, the eight-week production tour is visiting 100 hospitals and hospices to entertain sick children and their families.
Claire Farr, who plays Wishy Washy, said: “We are thrilled to support the pantomime tour.
“The aim of the panto is to bring some much needed fun and entertainment to the many poorly children that are stuck in hospitals and hospices and we really hoped that they all enjoyed the show.”
