ALICE and the Mad Hatter were guests of honour at a coffee shop’s special tea party to raise cash for sick children.

To celebrate the launch of the newly-refurbished bb’s coffee and muffins at Dalton Park, the cafe held a Mad Hatter’s tea party for customers.

As well as showing off the new-look shop, the event was also aimed at boosting funds for The Sick Children’s Trust.

Alice in Wonderland characters, including Alice, the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit, went along to the Murton shop to entertain the shoppers during the weekend.

The Sick Children’s Trust, which is Dalton Park’s chosen charity, provides free home from home accommodation at major hospitals around the country for families whose children are seriously ill in hospital.

It relies entirely on voluntary donations and need to raise nearly £1million every year to keep the provision going.
