A TASTE of Korea was offered to shoppers.
Members of Durham University’s Korean Society wore national dress and cooked traditional Korean food, including kimbap snacks.
Society treasurer Jessica Jung Gi Min said the aim of the event, in Durham City, was to widen the understanding of Korean culture.
She said: “People know about Japanese and Chinese culture, but Korean culture is not well recognised.
“Yet there are a significant number of students at Durham University who come from Korea.
“The event in the Market Place let people know a little bit more about our country.”
