HERE’S a new one on me – strawberry spinach, from Suttons Seeds.

Chenopodium Strawberry Sticks is two for the price of one - you can eat the nutty-flavoured young leaves like spinach and when the berries are fully ripe, they have a sweet burst of flavour with a hint of mulberry.

The bright red fruits, which are ready in autumn, look amazing next to the light green arrow-shaped foliage.

Seeds cost £1.99 for 25, log on to www.suttons.co.uk.
