THIS hair-raising frock is a cut above the rest.
Sunderland snipper Jodie Breeds had the coiffured creation made entirely from hair for an environmentally-friendly dress round in this year’s Miss England.
Though contestant Holly Lyons didn’t steal the overall crown in the contest, she certainly turned heads in the madcap dress.
Holly, 18 from Easington Colliery, competed as Miss 24 Carat, the name of Jodie’s salon in Grangetown.
The businesswoman said: “It’s made up of some real hair and about 10 rows of hair extensions.
“I designed it and my aunty, Margaret Jenner, who’s a dressmaker, made it.
“I think it took her about six hours altogether.”
She added: “It got an amazing reaction on the catwalk at Miss England. Everyone kept coming up to us afterwards and saying they had never seen anything like it.
“I think I’m going to put it up in the salon now as everyone keeps asking to see it.”
