THOUSANDS of foodies stocked up on supplies of the region’s top produce after flocking to a city’s food festival.
Around 100 stall holders showcased their goods at Durham City Food Festival over the weekend, with the main event staged on Palace Green.
Street food stalls selling hot dishes from across the world also proved a hit as visitors tucked into meals outside the huge marquee.
Inside they were also treated to demonstrations by some of the big names from restaurants and hotels, along with appearances by French Michelin-starred chef Jean-Christophe Novelli.
The second annual event was was organised by Durham Markets Company and Durham University.
A Continental market was also held in the Market Place during the weekend.
