WEARSIDE reality TV star Charlotte Crosby is pleading with people to give her a chance ahead of tonight’s show.
The 21-year-old Geordie Shore star is set to burst on to our TV screens after six weeks of filming across Newcastle came to an end.
The former St Anthony’s School girl is hoping to get support from fellow Wearsiders as she flies the flag for Sunderland despite already being given flak from her city mates.
Charlotte, of Biddick Woods, said: “I’m proud to be representing Sunderland to the rest of the country.
“At the end of the day, even though it’s called Geordie Shore it’s about the whole of the North East and I’m the only one flying the flag for Sunderland so I hope to have a good following here.
“We’ve already had quite a lot of haters from Sunderland and Newcastle who’ve been giving us grief, but that’s just because they’re jealous.”
Charlotte was working at Sunderland city centre nightspot Ttonic when she applied for the show in January.
After she had been picked she gave up her job at the bar as well as plans to study criminology at Sunderland University to move into a Jesmond house with seven strangers.
They were all given jobs at Newcastle nightspots and their lives followed constantly by camera crews.
Now Charlotte is hoping the show will help her find fame and fortune, like hit TV show The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE) has done for its cast.
“I’m so excited for it to come on TV. People from the North East are known for being able to party and have a good time and that’s exactly what I do.
“I’m really hoping that it will be a big success and ideally I want there to be a series two.
“I was watching the Baftas and saw TOWIE win and I would love for that to be us next year. I always knew something special was going to happen to me and now it has.”
Geordie Shore hits MTV tonight at 10pm.
