BON Jovi fans braced strong winds and queued overnight for tickets to the US rockers’ Stadium of Light gig.

About 40 people were at the ticket office this morning to reserve themselves a place for the concert, on June 13 next year.

Dedicated Anna Gray, who says she will fulfil a lifelong dream by seeing the New Jersey band, was first in line, camping out for 17 hours in chilly conditions.

“I had tickets to see them in Edinburgh last year, but I broke my foot and couldn’t go,” said the 34-year-old carer, from Monkwearmouth.

“I was devastated because I’m a huge fan.

“I’m so excited he’s coming here.

“I feel like I haven’t eaten for a week.”

Anna’s friend Amy Hughes, of Ford Estate, will join her.

“I’m very excited because it’s going to my first concert,” said the 15-year-old, who was with mum Susan, 51.

“I’ve always loved Bon Jovi.”
