A TOURING street market has set out its stalls in Durham City.

The Big EAT will be open for business in Market Place until Sunday.

Traders were welcomed by the Mayor of Durham, Coun John Wilkinson.

A mix of local and international food is on offer, as well as stalls selling crafts, clothing, jewellery and accessories,

Paul Kennedy, of the Big EAT, said: “All the food and goods have been produced under fair working conditions with fair reward for all involved in the production process.

“We insist all food stalls list their ingredients and the sellers have knowledge of their source.”

He added: “Customers buying from the market can do with confidence.”
