Now being filmed on Tyneside, the show is a spin-off to the music channel’s hugely-popular Jersey Shore, which is based on young Americans living in a house together.

Self-confessed attention seeker Charlotte, 20, is living in a luxury house in Newcastle for six weeks while cameras capture her every move for the new show.

By day, the eight-strong Geordie Shore group are working for a promotions company while at night they are filmed partying in Collingwood Street, known as the Diamond Strip.

The show is eagerly anticipated by fans of the U.S. version and today, MTV has announced who the stars of the show will be.

Though the stars are not allowed to speak to press until after filming has finished next month, biographies on each have already been released.

Charlotte, whose nickname is Loopy, is said to go nowhere without her signature knee-high socks and short skirts and claims to maintain her size 8 figure by eating food straight from the tin such as cold beans and spaghetti hoops.

Having failed college twice, Charlotte only worked a maximum of three hours at Ttonic so it didn’t interrupt her partying.

Tony Griffiths from Wylam Leisure, which runs Ttonic, said: “My wife Lorraine told me that Charlotte was leaving the bar to film a TV show and we were sad to see her go. She was really good at her job and very popular with customers. I’m sure she’ll do really well on the show, we’ll all be watching to see how she gets on.”

Geordie Shore is expected to follow in the footsteps of hit show The Only Way Is Essex which plays on the county’s stereotypes to earn huge ratings.

You can catch Geordie Shore when it launches on MTV on May 24 at 10pm.
