I'm excited about the potential of the Kenwyne Jones-Djibril Cisse partnership.
It's not something we've seen much of this season because of Kenwyne's injury.
And we won't start seeing the best of it until Kenwyne has had maybe six or seven games and is starting to get back to his sharpest.
But the early signs are great – Kenwyne has hit the bar and scored in the cup game against Rovers and hit the bar and scored in the league game against them.
And both Jones and Cisse got on the scoresheet in their first league start of the season.
In a way, we've been asking Cisse to play a game which might not be his natural style in the absence of Jones.
And I'm sure he'll be happier with Kenwyne up there to bear the brunt of the opposition defence's attentions.
Likewise, I'm sure Kenwyne will be inspired to have someone of Cisse's ability alongside him.
And he'll be boosted by the knowledge he won't necessarily be the main man up front in every game he plays.
Hopefully they can pick up where they left off when Sunderland host West Ham on Sunday, the first of two winnable home games – the next being against Bolton Wanderers.
We know the games will be tough and we know there are no easy games in the Premiership. But we are at home and it's not as if we're facing Man United and Chelsea.
A little while ago, everyone was on a high because of the Newcastle victory but the euphoria was punctured by four disappointing defeats.
Now we've got another boost – the win over Blackburn on Saturday lifting the club to 11th – and it is vital that this time we get the consistency not to blow it again.
Roy Keane has been banging on for the last few weeks about getting consistency into the side and he's spot on.
We need to concentrate on consistently solid performances and the misery felt in the wake of the defeats against Stoke City, Chelsea and Portsmouth should serve as a reminder of how quickly things can go wrong.
