Brave Johnny Bliss hosted an evening of entertainment to raise money for a cancer charity.
Johnny, 57, left, was himself diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the beginning of March and given just three months to live.

The sensational singer from Lambton, took to the stage last night at Stella Maris, Albany, Washington,to raise funds for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

Since then he has been living out his lifelong singing dreams, including getting into the studio to record an album, thanks to the Echo, and last night's event which saw hundreds of friends and family come together for the charity bash.

And the king of swing was on top form when he kicked off the evening's events with his version of The Drifters' Kissin' in the Back Row of the Movies.

Rue and the Rockers, also took to the stage to entertain the crowd.
Sheila, Johnny's wife, said: "I can't put into words how good everyone has been. The response has been beyond expectations.

"I'd like to send out the biggest thank-you to everybody who has supported this because it shows how well liked and loved Johnny is and he really is a showman at heart.

"I want to tell everyone how grateful we are for this because this money will help other people in the fight against cancer and looking into research."

Johnny also took part in a charity football match at Washington Football Club yesterday to raise more money for the fund.
