George Clarke teams up with Berghaus to support homeless people in the North East this Christmas

The outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment brand donated 30 rucksacks to charity North East Homeless which supports people who are living rough on the streets of the region.
It comes after architect and TV presenter George Clarke – the charity’s ambassador – reached out to Berghaus asking for their support.

Hide AdThe rucksacks will be used by the charity’s volunteers to carry food and other essential supplies when they assist people who are living on the steets.
North East Homeless founder, Brian Burridge, said: “The Berghaus rucksacks will be such an assistance, allowing us to take everything that we need with us for our outreach work.
"We have gone through so many poor quality bags in the past, so this means so much and will make a big difference.”
Launched in 2014, North East Homeless (NEH) operates out of a hub at the Fish Quay in North Shields where it runs a café, a ‘take what you need, leave what you can’ store, and provides other assistance on site.
