Staycations are set to be more popular than ever but for those who’ve travelled long distances with kids in the car will be all too familiar with the phrase ‘are we there yet?’
So if you fancy a trip away with the family, but don’t want to spend hours in the car, or you just fancy a short break away, we’ve compiled a list of caravan and campsites which are highly rated – and within a two-hour drive of Sunderland.
Campsites and caravan parks in England are now open but you can only visit with people from your own household or support bubble.
Sites may not be able to open where facilities are shared with other guests or there may be restrictions in place for those visiting, such as keeping communal shower or toilet blocks closed.
