Pets rescued from Sunderland blaze
Firefighters rescued animals from a house fire in Sunderland.
A crew from Farringdon fire station were called to The Crescent in New Silksworth this afternoon where a pan had caught fire.
The firefighters were called at 1.45pm and removed the pan from the kitchen to extinguish it and also rescued two dogs and a cat from the house.
The kitchen suffered moderate smoke damage and the rest of the house was slightly smoke damaged.
