Sunderland Antiquarian Society will meet in St Georges United Reformed Church, on the corner of Stockton Road and Belvedere Road, tonight at 7pm. Speaker Bernard Hope will talk about Eddie Chapman – North East Double Agent.
Enthusiastic, young volunteers, aged 13 and over, with spare time during the summer break are wanted to help with the libraries Summer Reading Challenge. To find out more, pop into the City Library and Arts Centre from 4pm to 6pm tomorrow or visit sunderland.gov.uk/libraries.

Hide AdDonnison School summer fair – First World Ward Remembered – will held on Saturday from 110am to 4pm at the Heritage and Education Centre. Stalls will include local cards and prints, jewellery, bric-a-brac, books, toys, homemade cakes as well as music and entertainment, fashion of the day and a First World War exhibition, children’s games, tug of war, garden draughts, coconut shy, tombola, races, raffle, bottle tombola, crafts and tea room.
