Wanted man who sparked search appeal by police is in custody

A man has been traced after police issued an appeal for the public to help track him down.
Northumbria Police published a plea on Friday, December 13, asking people to get in touch if they had seen Alan Adamson, from Hetton.
They said they were keen to locate the 26-year-old as it investigated the theft of a motor vehicle on Edward Street in the village, which was reported on Monday, November 25.
The force confirmed today, Tuesday, December 24, he was in custody.
