Sunderland Poundland store to be among first offering chilled and frozen food - this is when you can get it
Poundland is starting the rollout of new chilled and frozen “shop-in-shops” next week, with the High Street West store in Sunderland one of the first five stores to launch the project.
The make-over will see hundreds of everyday items hit the shelves, with the first 20 shops receiving their transformation by the end of March.

“It’s clear from our five-store pilot that customers have given a warm welcome to our Project Ice offer that brings our promise of amazing value to more of what they buy, week-in, week-out.”
The company carried a trial last year across a small number of stores, offering brand names like Aunt Bessie’s and McCain to shoppers.
Its success has prompted the company-wide move, which is hoped to be in place across all stores by early June.
