Woman dies and three fighting for their lives after Washington crash
Emergency services were called to a one-vehicle collision on the the A194 between the A195 and A182 slip roads at 10.37pm on Saturday, October 3.
It is understood that a silver Audi S3 was travelling westbound when, for reasons yet to be established, it left the road and collided with a tree.

Hide AdSadly, a 27-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other occupants in the car were injured in the crash and taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
The driver, a 35-year-old man, and two passengers – a 33-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman are in a ‘critical condition’ in hospital.
The families have been notified and are receiving support from specialist officers.

Hide AdThe incident happened less than 12 hours before a fatal crash on Sunday morning where a 40-year-old man died in a one-vehicle collision at the nearby Havannah Roundabout. The two fatal collisions are not being treated as linked.
An investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Sergeant Pinner Rana, of Northumbria Police’s Motor Patrols department, said: “This is a devastating incident that has sadly resulted in the death of a woman and has seriously injured three other people.
“We are continuing to support the families at this difficult time as we work tirelessly to establish what has happened.

Hide Ad“Our enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding this collision, and we are now asking anybody who was in the area at the time who saw anything that can assist us to get in touch. Please check your dashcam footage and let us know if you saw a Silver Audi A3 around that time on the A194. Even if you did not witness the collision, we would like to see any moments leading up to the collision to help us determine what happened.”
