Hetton School has sent more than 1,000 text books to Book Aid Africa. Students Beth Laybourne, head girl, Euan Parker, head boy, and Niamh Dawson, deputy head girl, helped Julie Chalk, Preparation for Adult Life Co-ordinator at the Church Road school, with the books. Hetton School would like to thank John Roxby Travel for delivering the books to Book Aid Africa.
Nidderdale Centre is looking for new members to go along and enjoy the events held daily such as bingo, tea and coffee morning and special events throughout the year. All are welcome to see what is on offer. For more information call in, you will be very welcome.

Hide AdAge UK 50+ open forum will be held on Friday from 10am to noon in the Metcalfe Centre. It is an opportunity to discuss any day to day issues you may have over a cup of tea. There will also be a presentation from Healthwatch, along with event invitations and community information.
