Firefighters were called to reports of a vehicle on fire in Ryhope this evening (Saturday, April 3).
Tyne & Wear Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they attended a car blaze off Leechemere Road in Ryhope at around 6.31pm on Saturday evening after a vehicle was reported to be alight.
Firefighters attended the scene and the fire has since been extinguished.
