When Lee Tuck and Kyle Martin had to put on hold work at The Garage recording studio in Mitre Place in South Shields, and postpone plans to play live due to coronavirus, they decided to bring friends together for a special project.
After working on a small version of Didn’t Know It Was Love by Survivors, Lee, 33, from Seaham, and Kyle, 33, from Birtley, decided to expand the idea, bringing together 19 people for a performance of Love in an Elevator by Aerosmith.

Now the finished song has been viewed on Facebook 12,000 times.
Lee and wife Kate, 32, and Kyle, have previously performed together in the band Sound Divide, while members of his current group, The UK Rock Show, are also among those to appear.

Lee said: “I just couldn’t believe the response we got off everybody, it’s been amazing, we’re blown away by it.

“The choice of song was a bit selfish on my part because I’ve always wanted to do it live with a band, but I think it really lent itself to this because there are vocals where lots of people can take part, there are three verses and there are sections where everyone gets to show off, and then there are backing vocals too.
“It's a great song as well and it’s something to put a smile on people’s faces in these weird times.”
